Kelly Clarkson, an American actor, singer and songwriter who took home the American Idol competition in its debut season, and became America's Sweetheart. Not only was she pushed into stardom by her win however, she also signed the contract for several albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. The singer has since released several studio albums. The three albums topped the US Billboard 200 chart, and others were just a little off. She is among the top artists to have emerged from American Idol. She was a bit flimsy as she found popularity with various themes and musical styles, often writing songs of her own. Her individuality and her singing talent earned her praise from critics and a number of prestigious prizes. She has been the most notable winner of the Grammy Award three times. Alongside her career in music, she has been featured in movies and TV shows. She also wrote the kids' book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in a variety of charitable organisations.
