KimBeverly Lumbres Caimen (born June 20, 1994 ([1]) is known as a mononym, Beverly is a Filipino pop singer who is based in Japan under the Avex Trax label. She is famous for her many soundtrack appearances including "Be the One" as seen in Kamen Rider Build, and "Koko" (Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle). Beverly Caimen was born on June 20, 1994 in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines as the third of the children of Ramon Vega Caimen and Leticia Valdez-Lumbres. She also had two brothers and sisters. Beverly started singing when she was just five years old. Her mother would take her to school, and she discovered that Beverly had talent for singing. She joined her school's choir at age 7 and started taking voice lessons at age 9 when her mother stumbled upon time. At the age of 12, she took part in her first singing contest. It didn't go as well. However, her mother encouraged her to continue because she wanted to gain more knowledge. Batangas State University gave her the opportunity to earn a B.S. in Psychology. Beverly began singing in amateur contests , pursuing her dream. She was awarded first prize at the World Championships of Performing Arts and recorded her songs under GMA Records and worked with composer Vehnee Saturno; during this time she released her first and only album under GMA, Beverly Caimen. Beverly received the Best Performance award from Awit Awards and won the Harvest of Honors award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts as well as the Best Performance award from the A Song of Praise Music Festival Year 3.
